Fit-ness

I went to my doc and had a physical today, just to make sure everything's ticking the way it's supposed to before Big D. And, sure enough, it is. Just a reminder to everyone to make sure you're up-to-date on your Tetanus shots -- you never know what you'll step on or run into while training!

I'm gearing up for a long run in the morning, hopefully around 14 miles. It's supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow afternoon, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the morning will be wind-free and beautiful. And -- just maybe -- I'll be able to leave the fleece at home for a change.

Happy Friday!

70's!!!! We would kill for that. Get in your 14 miles before the heat, so that means running faster, Ha.

I'll be doing 14 too! I will cheer for you Katie - cheer for me, OK? :) It will be about 25 here (actually Charlottsville cause we are doing a road trip). But Coach Ken will have it colder than that so I won't complain!

Glad the ticker and everything is working right as they should! Art

I'll be doing at least 10 tomorrow and then we'll decide of a third loop is in the cards though. I will be in 20's for my run.

The weather this weekend was so awesome. Of course, me and my stuipd schedule I ran my 13 on Sunday.

What IS lock-jaw anyway? Isn't that what you get if you aren't current on Tetanus? I'm sure that a few people on the phone with me have wished a bit of lock-jaw on me now and again.

Yes, the weather was WONDERFUL! Still sunny this week as well.

As for lock jaw, not really sure. Isn't that what you get when you step on a rusty nail? Hmmm, need a little Google on this one!

I think lock-jaw is often a result of tetanus infection.

How did the long run go? Even though I'm not really a runner, your training blog has really helped motivate me to keep on top of my cardio schedule! In fact I can do full workouts on the elliptical now without feeling totally out of alignment!
