The Injured Runner

I'm about to settle into two hours of The Biggest Loser, but thought I would pass along a site I read about in 50/50. I know many of you are also battling injuries, so check out The Injured Runner for recovery tips and more helpful information. It's a cool site!

I didn't make it to the gym today to test my ankle, but will try the bike tomorrow. Not sure whether it's the brace or the enormous amounts of Advil, but it's starting to feel better. I did hear back from the doc yesterday and my X-rays are clear -- perhaps I'll be back to running soon!

I am so behind - I'm sorry to hear about your ankle! It must be the yeah of the injury for many people. The article is a great resource. I also find Runnersworld.com to have some great tips. The bike will most likely be a great way to cross train without the pain.

PS - Isn't Biggest Loser the best!!? = )

Keep on healing, Katie. One of the hardest things for motivated people like us is this "rest" thing, but I guess healing needs it! It is, after all, a great time for extra fundraising :) Feel better soon.

I keep meaning to tell you - you are going to make an excellent TNT mentor!!

Have you tried "Aqua Jogging?" It's not very exciting, BUT you can mix it up by including intervals in your workout. The transition back to running will be much easier, as you'll still have the muscle memory.
